Yes, this counts as an entry
Dec. 18th, 2005 04:27 amThe "month of involution" is proving very difficult to do, and I haven't even gotten to the most difficult subjects; see the previous entry for some of the reasons I'm finding it hard. So, until I'm done (which'll be about two weeks, I think), I'm going to deny myself the things that most strongly divert my attention and alter my mood. I won't be around for lengthy IM conversations. I also won't be reading any more of the replies to my own posts until done, though after I'm done I'll go address them all well. Similarly, I won't be commenting in friends' journals for now; if I can summon the self-control, I won't read them at all. For anything important, I can still be reached via email. 'Til 2006, everyone.

Date: 2006-01-03 01:10 am (UTC)It does slow the process of development... but it can accelerate the process of rarification. I'm not finding an adequate word at the moment, but the idea is that there are beneficial processes complementary to, but not always compatible with, development.
Thanks...
