The "month of involution" is proving very difficult to do, and I haven't even gotten to the most difficult subjects; see the previous entry for some of the reasons I'm finding it hard. So, until I'm done (which'll be about two weeks, I think), I'm going to deny myself the things that most strongly divert my attention and alter my mood. I won't be around for lengthy IM conversations. I also won't be reading any more of the replies to my own posts until done, though after I'm done I'll go address them all well. Similarly, I won't be commenting in friends' journals for now; if I can summon the self-control, I won't read them at all. For anything important, I can still be reached via email.
