Milestones

Until a short time ago I was staring happily at a graph of a cute little photon wriggling around inside a plasma bubble. It was the output of my first successful simulation: one that concurs with the experiments downstairs, while at the same time providing corroborating evidence for an interpretation of their results. My program has a long way to go, but it's an accomplishment nonetheless. *grins* Hooray for milestones!

The way my mind works, I'm now reminded of this (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hHrKLlvkts4) - probably because that, too, is a simulation involving plasma and such :)

But yeah, hooray!

Nifty, thanks for showing me. :)

Anthropomorphizing surfing photons seem just too easy somehow. I'm happy to hear things are suddenly beyond the theoretical :) Very cool!

And when I read that, I thought of a theoretical reason why photons should be harder to anthropomorphize: time dilation. If anything with mass could travel at the speed of light, it would experience no time.

Bwaa! Happy little wrapped-up photons! :)

*grins* I don't think I accounted for the photon's mood in my simulation.
