Googling for my name (Lhexa) has yielded some very strange results... results that look like gibberish reforming into foreign languages.

This one is rather amusing, a chemical name intersected with spaces at just the right places.

ETHY LHEXA NOATE - Ethyl hexanoate (http://chemfinder.cambridgesoft.com/result.asp?polyQuery=123-66-0).

or LHexA (Long Hexadecimal A), in an assembly program.

*chuckles weakly*

Well, here's one of the creepy ones (http://www.cix.co.uk/~morven/lang/l_babelP.html).

You're in a conlang! (apparently -xa is a general suffix (http://www.cix.co.uk/~morven/lang/l_others.html#I) in the language)

What's a "conlang"? And, did you notice those "texan" and "a texanya" terms showing up? Also, are you aware that many of our Livejournal discussions are not being emailed, despite the fact that I have that option enabled in my settings?

In particular, did you get that post where I accused the content of one of your links as being schismatic and regressive?

A conlang is a constructed language. E.g Tolkien's Quenya and Sindarin, or Lojban/Loglan. I think I used the term in my definition of cacun (in my wordlist), so I assumed you would be familiar with the term.

Also, are you aware that many of our Livejournal discussions are not being emailed, despite the fact that I have that option enabled in my settings?

Yes, I am. Something is definitely buggy with that mail thing, but I don't know what it is, as I'm not a maintainer.

In particular, did you get that post where I accused the content of one of your links as being schismatic and regressive?
You mean the one about the government site?

Yes, that's the site I referred to. I'll back off insulting it, but sometimes what it takes to release anger and frustration is to express it to another person.

Yes, but you may want to designate something obvious (and that won't be affected) as the target if the main purpose is catharsis.

The site probably won't be affected, but it had me bewildered as your response seemed way out of proportion.

I didn't get a mail about your latest reply either.

The main purpose wasn't catharsis; it was making an accusation. But, consider your point about designating my target taken.

As Baxil said, the email connection is unreliable. However, it has a good side in that it forces me to renew awareness of our conversations. LJ messages that can only be seen by one person would be far worse.

It seems to be working now, though.

Where did Baxil say that?

where did you get your name from originally? Did you make it up?

GUILEN

I made it up. The "lh" was taken from the Welsh "ll" (an aspirated l), the x was thrown in because it's a cool letter, and the vowels because they sounded right.
