I don't follow that answer, but I asked the question playfully anyways, so I probably don't deserve to. :)
Throwing out a multifaceted term like 'feminine' and then paring down exactly what sense of it I mean (and I do this a lot) isn't the most efficient approach, but it gives the listener a kind of sketch to build on, and can be a chance to talk about personal perspectives and definitions. This might be a good thing or a distraction.
